I have been shooting fashion-related shoots lately and I am super missing my old (weird) shoots! :(

Too bad I lost my tripod huhu :(

The After Party

I was mesmerized by the models' hair, height and skin! 

While editing these set, I remembered a video clip made by an American residing here in the Philippines talking about the 20 things he hate about in our homeland. Well, most of it were true especially when he points out those whitening creams and lotions that were ridiculously sold in stores. I realized that our color is beautiful and if we just take good care of it, nourish it with the right chemicals, then we might boast the beauty of a Filipino/a in the entire world. HA!

Anyway, in this shoot, I did something new. I did this thing called strobing.. Well, I'm not really a fan because it is already overused by so many!!! but still is a beautiful lighting though.. So yeah, I had fun and I learned that in a space where "beautiful junks" are around (huge and small), using strobe lighting is a very challenging thing to do!!! - I think you already know why!!! hahaha

So I hope you all did ENJOY! more sets coming up!

barely there: NATURALIZER

Did this for our final project in art of display subject.

So we are tasked to look for a shop and my group mate John Ray Rosario found a couple, and we decided to go for NATURALIZER, ayala. Naturalizer is a brand for women's shoes.. 

So we decided to create a design that speaks the soul of the brand and that is it's simplicity, design and most especially COMFORT.

So how do we do this?

 After we printed the tarp, Shena and John used double adhesive to stick it on

the Styrofoam that we bought. Then John manually, yes! MANUALLY cut the edges using a

very sharp cutter! :))) 

 Top outline finish!

 After it has been cut out, we then head to Naturalizer, Ayala to finish off our display!

a special behind the scenes

One thing I love of being a part of such a wonderful team is the FUN, UNEXPECTED and BEAUTIFUL moments captured.  It may sound such a lot of work doing the plan (conceptualization) doing the make ups.. setting props, the set and the wonderful dresses (preparation) but the thing is during the whole process, we are doing what we love most and that doesn't count as a very tiresome work but a "having fun" thing.. 

I really love being surrounded with such talented people because they inspire me a lot! And every shoot I had and every single people behind it is always an inspiration to me.

I took a shot while Tyra (little bvck) is fixing Antoine Curtis.. then POOF! look at Kirsten's candid look - still looks like she's modeling..

I find this very cute!!! now this is having fun!
